Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go), by Garbage, is my number one favorite T-Tune of them all. I love the group and I adore Shirley Manson.

Cherry Lips is a single that was released in 2002 from the Beautiful Garbage CD, their third album. Beautiful Garbage is so different from their previous albums. A totally different sound and not at all resembling the hard-driving rock of "Push it" on the Version 2.0 album or the dark, haunting sound of "Queer" on their first album. In many ways, this CD is much more commercial sounding.

The song is about a character in the J. T. LeRoy books, "Sarah" and "The heart is Deceitful Above All Things" . The character is Cherry Vanilla, a young prostitute who was made to dress up as a girl, for many years, by his mother. The 2004 movie, "The heart is Deceitful Above All Things" is based on the book of the same name.

The beautiful Shirley Manson is a Scottish lass, born in Edinburgh. The group is based in the United States.
